Paris 2048 by EntART3t Paris 2048 by EntART3t
hi all, my first post here :)

The image is made with Maya + Mental Ray + Photoshop.

I started modelling the Eiffel-tower as a training for myself and afterwards felt like creating a interesting environment for it.
The scene takes places in year 2048 and shows a part of the decayed Paris with the Eiffel Tower still standing out of the ruins.

I hope you like it :)

Critique and comments are most welcome.
Thank You

Paris 2048 by ~EntART3t is a very imaginative view of how the future could be, with fantastic modelling, lighting and atmosphere. ( Featured by joannastar )

this is a bit of a dire view of the future O_o but i love it

have you ever watched a programme called earth:population 0? it all about what would happen to the earth once we humans are all gone... an this image is EXACTLY how they describe how things would look. It really captures what we are eventually going to do to the earth if we continue to live the way we are, though unfortunately in todays world.. reverting back to simpler ways is no longer an option.
I really like the lighting and how it creates an atmosphere of sheer desolation and emptiness, can you imagine managing to survive and live in a place such as this? This could be part of a collection... do major landmarks from different countries :excited: lol.
anyway, this is awesome, keep up the good work :cuddle:

If you say so. I didn't mind Fallout 3 when I last played it, but seeing how the Fallout universe was somewhat backward, I was kind of thrown off (basic society never advancing past the 1950's? give me a break).

The flag could also be used as a signal as well and not a mere symbol of defiance as shown in Fallout 3.

yeah, i know. even technology was a bit primitive. the computers was like they were made 1970's. they were made 2077, and they were not even flatscreen. owned!

but to be fair, that game was how the americans thought the world would look like in the future, back in the 50's.

That's true. They envisioned stuff that never happened in 50 years after the prediction, but stuff that they didn't dream of did.

Your art is amazing but I don't ever want to imagine the E. Tower in ruins like that because just like the Myan Pyramids are beautiful pieces of archture you know what I mean... and I know I spelled a few words wrong it's like 4 in the morning

Woow,

I just checked my account and first thought number of messages must be bugged :P

Huge thanks to all who commented or favourited :)
and ofc to joannastar for featuring my picture

I will try to answer all questions:

- The scale of the tower is right, maybe it is becouse of the perspective it looks "to" small, but i checked the blueprints and it is irl scale.

- To the Name, well i wanted to make a little reference to 1984 but 2084 seemed to be to much in the future so i changed the numbers :) also tells a bit of how i imagine the background story

That for now, i will try to answer the other questions later

I saw a segment on the History channel about how cities will decay after a ___ number of years after humans have left. It's interesting to think about it all and wonder what really would happen in the future.
